Chapter Eight
The Insatiables were all at the apartment when she came back that afternoon, lounging around the living room, drinking margaritas, and comparing notes on their customers.
“Whoa, Frankie—the whole night? Some Dax-tion,” Nina said coyly. “Isn’t he the stud? Who would have thought? You did sleep with him?”
“Wasn’t that the point?”
“It was supposed to be. We didn’t get an all-night fuckfest. We were lucky if we got five minutes of boning at a time. Those guys were boneheads. Marianne was telling us you all hooked up with some real fucksome guys on your road trip this week.”
“We did.”
“Tollbooth guy?”
“Oh yeah. You heard about him?”
“And the others. So-o … how did Dax compare?”
Wasn’t Nina the nosy bitch today. And why hadn’t Marianne said one word yet? She did not look amused.
“Let’s just say he got what he paid for.”
“And what was that?” Marianne now. Of course. No detail was too minute for Marianne’s eager eagle eye.
“A cunt,” she retorted. “You invited him. You didn’t think he’s just like any other horny guy in a strip joint?”
“He chose you,” Marianne said silkily. “Why do you suppose?”
Damn, Becca had warned her. She had to downplay this. “Maybe he knows you guys too well. I wish he hadn’t chosen me, because it wasn’t fun.” Liar. “It was servicing.”
Not enough for Marianne. “Where did he take you?”
“Where did you guys go?”
“Somewhere elegant,” Becca said, shooting Frankie one of those looks. “Dax never does anything by half. Even when he’s going down and dirty, he wants Egyptian cotton sheets. Where? The Waldorf? The Carlyle? The Parker Meridien? Nice to have money.”
“Last night was a flat bust,” Marianne said grimly. “The best part was shaking my boobs onstage and all those men salivating over them. There’s lots of money in voyeurism; they tossed about five hundred dollars on that stage. If you perform a couple of shows, four or five nights a week? Take the money—forget the sex. Who wants sex with those guys?”
“You do,” said Becca, the only one who could have said that to her face.
“Because I want sex with every guy. But anonymous penises on the road fuck way better than anonymous penises at high-end strip clubs. So—so much for that social experiment.” Marianne slanted an opaque look at Frankie. “Frankie still got the best end of it. She slept with Dax.”
“Tell us everything,” Nina said. “Dax doesn’t sleep around with our crowd, so we want the details. How big, how long, what about the body, what did he do, what did he say …”
Frankie was speechless. Quicksand here. She had the feeling Nina’s pointed questions weren’t idle curiosity.
She looked at Becca, who raised her eyebrows, and then at Marianne, who was staring at her skeptically.
“What, you think he’s got a body far and above mortal men? He’s a guy. Not as built as some, not as muscular as some—”
“Frankie, Frankie, Frankie—get to the penis. We want penis dish. Length, width, feel …”
“Hell, I didn’t measure the guy.”
“Did he fit good and tight?” Marianne asked.
